Saturday 23rd March heralded the arrival of the much anticipated Captains’ Drive-In and this year the weather behaved. Well, sort of! It was cold and breezy and the AM shotgun competitors probably got wet but the PM players went round in virtual sunshine apart from the odd threat of a hail shower.
Alfie Sully, the 2024 Juniors Captain, was in a team alongside the Club Captain, Seniors Captain and Ladies Captain and he was the first to tee off. With an audience watching he struck the ball beautifully down the middle of the 1st fairway, followed successfully by the other members in his team.
The atmosphere on the course and in the clubhouse was great and the whole day organised really well. Thank you to the Greenkeepers, Pro Shop and Bar/Kitchen staff for ensuring we all had such a good day.
