JUNIOR SECTION 2023

We continue to build a team of people to help run the various tasks within the section. If any members would like to be involved, please speak to Jason, Ali or James in the Pro Shop.

Junior Club Nights commence on Monday 3 April. For the safeguarding of all members, please be advised that the 1st tee is reserved every Monday night from 4.00pm until 6.00pm exclusively for Junior competitions and the Fox Cubs.

Charlie Hooper – Junior Captains Texas scramble – 29th August

The 2020 Junior Captains texas scramble will take place on Saturday 29th August. With tee times from 7.30 am to 2.00 pm it should be a good day for all of the T&P members to come along and support the juniors, as they do normally.

The junior section teams will be as follows..

It will be off the yellow tees, with each player having to take a minimum of three drives and a maximum of 5. You work that out between you on Saturday..  Good luck, would be great to see 1 of the teams in the frame for the club overall prizes…
11.30 – Charlie & George & Theo & Matthew = Team handicap = 10.6
11.40 – Mark & Finley & James & Benjamin + Team Handicap = 11.9
11.30 – Mike & Bailey & Morgan & Freddie = Team handicap = 9.7
The winning team from the 3 above will share a dozen golf balls…and have the bragging rights of being the best junior section scramble team of 2020!
Please be there with time to practice, wear your T&P blue colours if you have them please, if not try to wear blue!

Junior organisers & Sons

A great 2 days for the Taunton & Pickeridge golf club, excellent to see Bailey Langford win the juniors gross prize for the 2nd year and a proud moment for Dad, Mark Langford who does so much to support him and also the junior section at T&P.
Pictured also is the Juniors organiser Mike Hooper & the Juniors Captain for 2020, Charlie Hooper, he finished 3rd in both the nett & gross events and was on hand to congratulate Bailey.

New sponsorship with Taunton School + T&P Junior section at Taunton & Pickeridge golf club

The Taunton + Pickeridge Golf Club Junior Section are really looking forward to the Somerset Juniors Golf league event on Sunday 5th May Taunton & Pickeridge Golf Club

The team will have new shirts and tops, Thanks to the New sponsorship with Taunton School + Thanks to the Junior section of the club for those new shirts & tops.

We will have many more pictures next Sunday of the team and the event. Good luck to all the teams taking part and we look forward to welcoming the players and families from 12 golf clubs.
